I qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Speech Pathology and Therapy from Manchester University in 1996.  Since this time, I have worked within the NHS and for a charitable organistion.  I am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

During my career, I have worked with children and young people up to the age of eighteen, with a variety of diagnoses seeking assistance with all aspects of communication.. The majority of my work has been spent in the field of autism, working together with autistic children, young people and their families.to identify their unique communication strengths and focus on goals they want to achieve. I also have an interest within the field of verbal dyspraxia, and have completed training in the Nuffield Centre Dyspraxia Programme.  I am also Lidcombe trained, for use with young children with a stammer.

I have recently become involved in the running and promoting of social groups for adults with additional needs, including learning disability, in my local community.
